Business Systems Analyst
Summary
Business Systems Analyst supporting the Product Development team at Verita Global, acting as a liaison between Product, Technology, Operations, and business stakeholders. Day to day: gathering and documenting requirements, writing user stories and acceptance criteria, coordinating UAT and regression testing, and providing application training and support for internally developed applications.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES
We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst to support the Product Development team by serving as an analytical and operational liaison between Product, Technology, Operations, Case Management, Financial Administration, and other business stakeholders. The role translates business needs into clear requirements and development documentation, coordinates testing and release readiness, provides application training and support, and helps manage key product-related operational activities throughout the case lifecycle. The position provides day-to-day execution support that enables senior product leadership to focus on product strategy, roadmap planning, stakeholder engagement, and broader portfolio initiatives.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
§ Gather, document, analyze, and validate business and functional requirements for internally developed applications and related
business processes.
§ Create and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, functional documentation, and supporting requirements
artifacts.
§ Document software defects, enhancements, and development stories for internal applications, including sufficient detail for
Development and QA teams to evaluate and execute the work.
§ Support backlog refinement, sprint planning preparation, requirement clarification, and release readiness activities.
§ Develop and maintain User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans, test scripts, expected results, evidence, and defect documentation.
§ Coordinate UAT activities for completed development and execute functional and regression testing for code fixes,
enhancements, and new feature releases.
§ Track defects through resolution, retest corrected functionality and validate delivered functionality against approved
requirements and acceptance criteria.
§ Provide application training and functional user support, including development and maintenance of user guides, job aids, and
process documentation.

§ Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related discipline, or equivalent professional
experience.
§ Two (2) to five (5) years of experience in Business Analysis, Systems Analysis, Product Support, Software Testing, Product
Operations, or a related field.
§ Demonstrated experience documenting business requirements and coordinating or executing User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
§ Strong analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
Preferred:
§ Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments; Azure DevOps, GitHub, or similar work-management tools;
§ Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC);
§ Experience supporting internally developed applications; and familiarity with claims administration, legal administration,
financial administration, privacy, records retention, or compliance processes.
