Business Systems Analyst - Workday Financials

- Partner with Finance and Payroll stakeholders to document business needs and translate them into functional specifications for technical teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, IT, and other stakeholders, to gather business requirements and translate them into Workday Financials solutions.
- Configure, maintain, and enhance the Workday Financials system to meet evolving business needs and regulatory requirements.
- Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for Workday Financials, providing guidance and support to end users and troubleshooting system issues.
- Develop and execute test plans, conduct system testing, and oversee user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure system reliability and accuracy.
- Monitor system support (help desk) tickets, document new requests, triage and document issues and communicate with end users timely.
- Participate in system upgrades, patches, and enhancements, evaluating their impact on existing configurations and processes.
- Create and maintain comprehensive system documentation, including process flows, user guides, and training materials.
- Collaborate with vendors and consultants as needed to implement new modules or functionality.
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify opportunities for improvement, recommending and implementing system enhancements and best practices.
- Stay current with industry trends, Workday updates, and financial system advancements to provide recommendations for continuous improvement. Reports to Manager Business Systems, Finance.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years in business analysis, technical analysis, product delivery, or a similar role within a technology-driven environment with heavy emphasis on business process and stakeholder collaboration.
- Proven experience as a Workday Financials Business Systems Analyst or similar role.
- Strong understanding of finance and accounting principles, processes, and best practices.
- In-depth knowledge of Workday Financials configuration and functionality.
- Experience with system implementation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams.
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Workday Financials certification (preferred).
- Pre‑employment criminal background screening required.
