Position Overview

ADG Blatt is seeking a Business Systems & Data Analyst to join our Program Management team in our Oklahoma City Studio. This position combines business analysis, systems thinking, data analytics, and hands-on technology development to improve how our teams work and how we serve our clients.


The Business Systems & Data Analyst works at the intersection of people, processes, data, and technology, and understanding how work is currently performed, recognizing opportunities to streamline processes, and personally building practical solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy, and decision-making.


This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys turning ideas and business needs into working solutions. The position will develop and maintain dashboards, automated workflows, applications, and other digital tools supporting both ADG Blatt's internal operations and the data analytics and reporting we provide to our Program Management clients.


Reporting to the Director of Program Management, this position works collaboratively across the firm and may participate in client meetings, presentations, and training as appropriate.


Essential Functions

Business Analysis & Process Improvement

  • Partner with Program Management, firm leadership, and other departments to understand business needs, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Evaluate existing processes and identify opportunities to streamline work, reduce repetitive tasks, improve accuracy, and better use available information.
  • Map and document workflows to understand the full process before developing or automating solutions.
  • Translate business needs and complex processes into clear system requirements and practical technical solutions.
  • Proactively identify opportunities where technology, automation, or improved use of data can enhance internal operations or client service.
  • Balance efficiency with usability, recognizing that successful solutions must work for the people who use them.

Systems, Automation & Solution Development

  • Design, build, test, implement, and maintain solutions using the Microsoft 365 and Power Platform ecosystem, including Azure, Power Automate, Power Apps, Fabric, Power BI, and SharePoint.
  • Develop automated workflows that improve the speed, accuracy, and consistency of recurring processes.
  • Build practical applications and tools that respond to identified business and client needs.
  • Take technical ownership of solutions from initial concept and prototyping through implementation, ongoing maintenance, and refinement.
  • Identify and resolve issues with existing automations, integrations, and digital workflows.
  • Collaborate with outside technology resources when infrastructure, security, or specialized technical support is required.

Data Analytics & Client Deliverables

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance relational database systems, data models, and reporting tools for internal teams, firm leadership, and Program Management clients.
  • Collect, organize, clean, and analyze information from multiple data sources.
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable information that supports decision-making.
  • Work with client-facing staff to understand client objectives and develop reporting and analytical tools that support contract deliverables.
  • Maintain the technical performance and integrity of dashboards and data solutions after implementation.
  • Identify trends, relationships, exceptions, and opportunities within data that may provide meaningful business or project insight.
  • Present data in clear, accessible, and visually effective formats for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Collaboration, Implementation & Training

  • Serve as a collaborative resource to Program Management and other ADG Blatt teams in identifying and developing technology-based solutions.
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to individuals with varying levels of technical expertise.
  • Participate professionally in client meetings and presentations as needed to explain, demonstrate, or support developed solutions.
  • Train and support team members and clients in the effective use of dashboards, applications, and automated workflows.
  • Gather feedback following implementation and refine solutions to improve functionality, usability, and adoption.
  • Follow through after implementation to confirm that solutions are functioning as intended and providing meaningful value.

Data Integrity & Technology Advancement

  • Support reliable and consistent data practices across systems, dashboards, and reporting tools.
  • Identify data inconsistencies and work with appropriate team members to understand and address root causes.
  • Develop documentation for systems, workflows, data sources, and solutions to support long-term reliability.
  • Maintain appropriate confidentiality and security of firm, employee, project, and client information.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, including AI-enabled tools, and identify practical opportunities to improve workflows, analysis, and client deliverables.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong business analysis and systems-thinking skills with the ability to understand how people, processes, data, and technology connect.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify workflow inefficiencies and develop practical solutions.
  • Hands-on proficiency with the Microsoft ecosystem, including data modeling, report development, and report design.
  • Experience with Fabric, Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to personally design, build, test, implement, and maintain technology solutions.
  • Strong process-mapping and workflow-design skills.
  • Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and communicate complex information.
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into clear, accessible language for non-technical audiences.
  • Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and with individuals at varying levels of an organization.

  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to data accuracy and reliable solutions.

  • Working knowledge of Excel formulas, SQL, JSON, Dataverse, APIs, or related technologies preferred.
  • Experience with JavaScript, Python, Microsoft Power Platform certifications, or UX/UI principles is a plus.
  • Familiarity with emerging AI-enabled business tools is beneficial.
  • AEC, professional services, or Program Management experience is helpful but not required.


Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent demonstrated experience will be considered.
  • Three (3)+ years of relevant experience in business analysis, systems integration, automation, data analytics, business intelligence, or related work preferred.
  • Candidates earlier in their careers who demonstrate strong technical capabilities and a portfolio of successfully implemented solutions are encouraged to apply.
  • Hands-on experience developing and implementing dashboards, applications, automated workflows, or other production-ready business solutions.
  • Portfolio or examples of solutions personally designed and built are strongly preferred.


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, exempt position based in our Oklahoma City Studio. Normal working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional additional hours as needed based on project and client demands.
