Business Systems Engineer
Summary
Business Systems Engineer at Lyft who builds and maintains FP&A systems: Anaplan models, Oracle ERP/Fusion Cloud data integrations, BI dashboards, and Python-based automation for budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Hybrid role based in San Francisco (3 days/week in office).

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for generating and customizing reports summarizing business and financial data.
- Maintain and update business intelligence tools, databases, dashboards, systems and other methods to capture, analyze, and estimate customer business requirements.
- Build, maintain, and enhance Anaplan models based on design specifications and best practices.
- Translate business requirements into functional model components and develop and maintain data integrations between Anaplan and source systems.
- Design various financial planning and analysis (FP&A) use cases, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, as well as develop and implement automation routines and data integrations to streamline FP&A processes.
- Create business intelligence tools and systems, including user-friendly dashboards and reports for business users.
- Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure data accuracy and provide end-user support.
Experience:
- Position requires Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 3 years of experience in job offered, Engineering, or related occupation.
- At least 3 years’ experience with business intelligence and process flows to design custom solutions with Oracle ERP Cloud or Oracle Fusion Cloud applications, including finance, SCM, BICC, and OTBI reporting.
- At least 3 years’ experience with Anaplan or similar enterprise performance management for modeling, building, planning, analysis, and reporting.
- Experience developing plans and project management techniques to translate unstructured business problems into defined requirements.
- Experience transforming data and automating processes using Python or a similar scripting language.

The expected base pay range for this position in the San Francisco area is $143,000 - $177,000/year. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location. Range is not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits.
