Description

Role Overview:
Are you interested in being part of an incredible, category-leading brand in the toy industry? MAGNA-TILES is seeking a tech-savvy, solutions-oriented, and proactive Business Systems Manager to join our growing team. This individual will play a critical role in supporting the continued growth of the business by helping integrate, optimize, and automate enterprise-wide systems that power our day-to-day operations.

The Business Systems Manager will own and enhance our core business systems, including Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Logiwa WMS, EDI, APIs, and reporting tools. This role will partner closely with Accounting and Operations to streamline workflows, resolve system issues, improve data visibility, and implement practical automation solutions that support efficiency and scalability across the organization. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable troubleshooting technical issues, managing cross-functional systems initiatives, and identifying opportunities to improve business processes through smarter system design and integration.

We've maintained an entrepreneurial, pioneering spirit throughout the brand's rich 30-year history. Our company culture today is fun and fast-paced, collaborative and casual, creative and can-do. Our purpose is simple: to promote Meaningful Play. This position reports to our Controller, with a dotted line to our Director of Operations, though you’ll work with teammates across the organization to help create an incredible brand experience for millions of kids and families across the world.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own administration, troubleshooting, and optimization of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Logiwa WMS.
  • Manage and troubleshoot EDI, API, and other integrations across retailers and our 3rd party logistic partners in Canada and Europe.
  • Partner with Accounting and other departments to support Power BI reporting and data integrations.
  • Lead systems integration projects, including requirements, vendor coordination, testing, implementation, documentation, and training.
  • Identify and implement process automation and workflow improvements across business functions, where applicable.
  • Lead internal IT systems planning and integration for the new facility build-out and Q1 2028 move-in, coordinating with Operations, contractors, and low voltage technology providers.
  • Support integration, testing, and ongoing troubleshooting of third-party-installed warehouse automation systems, particularly DTC fulfillment equipment at the new facility.
  • Evaluate and deploy practical AI tools, including meeting note-takers, employee productivity tools, and website AI initiatives; train employees on adoption and appropriate use.
  • Coordinate domain administration, UDRP filings, and transfers of recovered domains in partnership with legal counsel and external providers.
  • Coordinate business systems needs, escalations, access, cybersecurity, and continuity planning with outsourced IT providers.
  • Proactively partner with department leaders to identify technology needs, recommend solutions, and drive implementation.
  • Maintain clear documentation of business system configurations, integrations, access controls, procedures, and recovery plans; coordinate security and compliance needs with external providers.
  • Serve as a proactive technology partner to employees and department leaders, translating business needs into practical solutions and taking accountability for execution and results.

What You’ll Bring To The Table:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5-10 years of hands-on experience in systems engineering, IT operations, or infrastructure management.
  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, or similar ERP system.
  • 3+ years of experience with EDI and API standards and logic (SPS Commerce experience a plus).
  • Experience with cloud-based WMS Platforms.
  • Experience with Power BI, RDLC, and / or AL coding.
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations, including fulfillment, inventory management, and supply chain processes.
  • Knowledge with barcode scanning technologies, RFID systems, and warehouse automation tools.
  • Experience with managing or coordinating technology projects.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to train and assist system users.
  • Aptitude to analyze complex issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to system reliability.
  • A commitment to upholding our core values: Think Like a Child, The Team, The Team, The Team, Complete Commitments to Others, Better Never Stops.
