Business Systems Project Manager/Analyst - St. Cloud, MN

Job Summary

The Business Systems Project Manager/Analyst leads business system implementations, technology projects, and process improvement initiatives across the organization. This position serves as a liaison between departments, leadership, and IT to evaluate systems, identify improvements, coordinate cross-functional projects, and support successful implementation of new systems and processes. The position tracks project progress, risks, and deliverables while providing regular status updates and recommendations to leadership.

Hours and Wage

  • Exempt salary position
  • Starting wage: $70,000-$92,500 per year, based on relevant years of experience, education, certifications, and comparison to other employees already in this role

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate business system implementations, process improvement initiatives, and other cross-functional projects from planning through completion
  • Develop and track project plans, timelines, milestones, deliverables, and implementation strategies
  • Establish project priorities and coordinate resources across departments to keep projects on schedule
  • Identify project risks, roadblocks, and potential delays and develop solutions or escalate issues as appropriate
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and provide visibility into project status
  • Ensure projects are completed within established timelines and organizational expectations
  • Evaluate current business systems, workflows, and processes to identify inefficiencies, gaps, and opportunities for improvement
  • Coordinate with IT regarding integrations, data flows and security considerations, infrastructure requirements and technical dependencies
  • Support compliance and audit requirements through accurate documentation, system reviews, and process improvements
  • Oversee systems, rollout, training and change management
  • Manage vendors, integrations and SaaS partners
  • Analyze the impact of proposed system changes on existing processes, employees, and departments
  • Research and evaluate potential systems, tools, and technology solutions to support organizational needs
  • Assist with system configuration, testing, implementation, and user acceptance activities as needed
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, automation, data accuracy, and user experience
  • Schedule and facilitate recurring project meetings
  • Provide regular updates regarding project progress, timelines, accomplishments, risks, challenges, and next steps for leadership
  • Escalate significant issues or changes in scope, budget, timeline, or resources to appropriate leadership
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

  • Demonstrated experience leading or coordinating cross-functional projects
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong meeting facilitation and presentation skills
  • Experience with data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence tools

Education and Experience

  • Must be over the age of 18 years old
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Project Management, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered
  • 3+ years of experience in project management, business analysis, systems analysis, process improvement, or a related field

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly required to sit for extended periods while performing computer-base work and attending meetings
  • Ability to work with all types of freight including but not limited to hazardous materials, food and alcohol, firearms, ammunition and live animals
  • Occasionally required to lift, carry, push and pull lightweight materials or equipment associated with project implementations or system setup
  • May periodically work in operational environments, including terminals, warehouses, docks, and transportation areas
  • May be exposed to moving equipment, vehicles, varying temperatures, noise, and other conditions commonly found in transportation and warehouse operations
