Business Systems & Reporting Analyst

Summary

The Business Systems & Reporting Analyst will manage and improve internal business systems and reporting platforms to drive smarter decision-making and process efficiency. The role involves working with tools like Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power BI, and Snowflake to support finance and commercial teams.

Since 1978, Jade Software Corporation has been building technology that solves complex, real-world problems. Today, our software supports organisations across more than 25 industries and 70 countries, helping them combat financial crime, manage global dairy supply chains, and run critical business operations that simply cannot fail.

Our portfolio includes ThirdEye, a leading financial crime prevention platform, MADCAP, a globally recognised dairy supply chain solution, and high-performance enterprise software built for customers operating at scale. At the centre of it all is the Jade Platform, our own development and runtime environment that powers both our own products and those of organisations around the world.

Jade is entering an exciting phase of growth and transformation. We're investing in our products, our platforms, our people, and in how we work.

This role sits at the heart of that change. You’ll help us get more value from our internal business systems, improve the quality and usefulness of our reporting, simplify the way work gets done, and help our people make better use of technology.

What You’ll Do

Our systems work. But we're not interested in simply keeping them working.

We're looking for someone who will continually ask whether there is a better way; a simpler process, better information, smarter automation or a different way for our people to engage with technology.

Reporting to our Financial Planning & Analysis Manager, as Business Systems & Reporting Analyst, you’ll play a key role in helping Jade operate smarter, make better decisions, and get more value from our business systems and data.

Partnering across Finance, Commercial, Technology and the wider business, you'll be the go-to person for internal business systems, reporting, process improvement and data quality.

You will:

  • Challenge how we work today and identify simpler, smarter and more effective ways of doing things.
  • Own and continually improve our core internal business systems and reporting platforms, ensuring they are reliable, well used and fit for purpose.
  • Work closely with FP&A and stakeholders to support delivery of accurate, trusted reporting that supports better decision-making.
  • Improve data quality and help create clearer ownership and better disciplines around the information we rely on.
  • Coordinate internal system upgrades, enhancements and specialist vendor support.
  • Provide system support, training and guidance to users across the business.
  • Look for opportunities to reduce manual effort through better processes, automation, AI and emerging technology.
  • Help turn good ideas into practical improvements - and measure whether they deliver the intended value

Systems You’ll Work With:

Our current environment includes:

  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
  • Continia
  • Snowflake
  • Power BI
  • Microsoft 365 ecosystem

Already know some of them? Great. Don't know them yet? That's not a dealbreaker. We're more interested in how quickly you learn and what you do with the capability once you've built it.

About You

You might already be a systems analyst. You might come from finance, operations, business analysis, technology or somewhere completely different. What matters to us is how you think.

You are likely to be someone who sees a clunky process and can’t help wondering why it works that way. You enjoy getting underneath a problem, learning how something works and finding a practical way to make it better.

You'll bring:

  • Curiosity and the confidence to ask “why?” and “could we do this differently?”
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to turn ideas into practical solutions.
  • An ability and willingness to learn new systems and technology quickly.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, you'll need to listen, influence, challenge constructively and bring people with you.
  • An analytical mindset and an appreciation for accurate, trusted data.
  • The ability to organise yourself, manage competing priorities and follow things through.
  • A collaborative, customer-focused approach aligned with Jade's Operating Principles.

We're deliberately prioritising curiosity, learning agility and potential over having done this exact job before. If you're someone who enjoys figuring things out, improving how things work and helping people get more from technology, we'd love to hear from you.

Nice to have:

  • Experience working with ERP, reporting or other business systems.
  • Exposure to finance or commercial processes
  • Experience with Business Central, Continia, Power BI or similar tools.
  • Experience working in technology, software or professional services.

If you don't tick every one of these boxes, we'd still encourage you to apply.
