Summary
Handles purchase orders, supplier negotiations, and shipment coordination for an engineering-focused procurement team.
Job Responsibilities
- Support the purchasing team in day-to-day operations including accurate creation and issuance of Purchase Orders (POs)
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, negotiating effectively on pricing, quantities, and delivery timelines
- Coordinate incoming material shipments, manage Return to Vendor (RTV) processes, and handle administrative tasks such as record keeping and RFQ preparation for costing roll-ups
- Process purchase requisitions and provide timely updates to management on order status
- Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor stock levels to ensure adequate supply
- Arrange transportation of goods and track orders to ensure on-time delivery
- Analyse market trends and monitor the target market to support informed and strategic purchasing decisions
- Collaborate with the Expeditor team on vendor delivery follow-ups and submission of required supporting documents
- Maintain proper documentation, filing, and record keeping for all procurement activities
- Undertake any additional ad-hoc duties as assigned by management
Job Requirements
- Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in a purchasing or procurement role
- Knowledge of ERP systems will be an added advantage
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
