Location: Wimbledon OR Crewe | Dual-Brand Remit: Ryman & Robert Dyas

The digital technical landscape is shifting rapidly. AI-driven gadgets, smart ecosystem integration, compact travel power, and sustainable personal tech are reshaping consumer habits.

We need a Tech Buyer who doesn't just manage categories; you predict where the market is going and build the ranges to take it there.

What you'll be doing

  • Total Creative & Commercial Ownership - You get to launch a brand-new Own Brand Tech label from scratch.
  • Direct Sourcing & Manufacturing Freedom - Work directly with overseas factories, negotiate COGs, oversee QA/compliance, and control packaging design.
  • Dual-Demographic Reach - Shape the tech strategy for office/lifestyle shoppers (Ryman) and smart home/everyday utility shoppers (Robert Dyas).
  • Global Exposure - Hunt down the next viral gadgets at CES, IFA, and Canton Fair.

What you'll bring

  • Experienced Tech Buyer / Category Specialist with deep Far East direct-sourcing expertise.
  • Specialist in private-label product development (concept to shelf).
  • Commercial trader with proven P&L, stock-turn, and gross margin success across store and e-commerce channels.

What's in it for you?

  • Competitive salary with the opportunity to earn company bonus, company pension (with enhancement options), and a referral scheme.
  • Generous holiday allowance plus an extra wellbeing day to recharge.
  • Tailored training, structured career progression, and funded apprenticeship programmes.
  • Exclusive discounts across all group brands (Ryman, Robert Dyas, Boux Avenue), Cycle2Work scheme, and access to mental health first aiders and wellness support.
  • A collaborative team with recognition awards and regular social events.
