Key Responsibilities:
- Purchase Assigned Vendors
- Daily Review Reports #112(Out of Stock Report), #165(Buyer Low Stock Warning Report)
- New Item Setup
- Coordinate New Item Information with Marketing and Merchandising
- Load Promotional Allowances/ (Deals)
- Item Price Change Maintenance
- Vendor Maintenance – Keep vendor notes and information updated.
- Maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure product availability, cost control and service levels.
- Trace & Expedite PO’s
- Coordinate Backhauls with Operations
- Manage Vendor Returns
- Create Category Cubes / Quarterly Reports
- Work with Merchandising Manager concerning Retailer Accruals
- Work with Vendors to Alleviate Overstocks - Report #157(Excess Inventory Report)
- Support Category reviews through reporting and item performance analysis
- Proven experience in a retail or purchasing environment.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

- Working Conditions:
- In- Office environment with occasional travel to meet suppliers or attend trade shows.
