Buyer - Ladies Pringle of Scotland
Role Overview
As a Buyer, you will work closely with the Buying Manager and
Merchandise team to support the development of seasonal ranges and ensure the
successful execution of the buying strategy across retail and wholesale
channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist
in curating product assortments in line with brand direction and customer
demand
- Support
the development of seasonal product ranges in collaboration with designers and
merchandisers
- Built and maintain supplier relationships
- Coordinate
order placement and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery
- Monitor
sales trends and support the team with data-driven recommendations
- Assist
in managing the Open-to-Buy (OTB) and pricing strategies
- Provide
administrative support including purchase order creation, supplier
communication, and system updates
- Liaise
with stores to assist with product queries and feedback
- Contribute
to seasonal reviews and post-buy analysis
- Maintain
and update product data on buying systems
Requirements
- 1–3 years of
experience in a buying or merchandise-related role, ideally within the fashion
industry
- Relevant
tertiary qualification in Fashion, Buying, Retail, or a related field
(preferred)
- Strong
understanding of the fashion retail environment
- Proficient
in Excel and Microsoft Office; experience with buying systems advantageous
- Strong
administrative, planning, and organisational skills
- Good
commercial awareness and a keen eye for fashion trends
- Excellent
communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness
to learn, grow, and work in a fast-paced environment
