Verus Research is searching for a Buyer to provide excellent and prompt service to internal customers who require specific and often hard-to-find materials and services. This position is in support of technical project teams in a research and development (R&D) environment. This is a unique opportunity to perform procurement activities for highly complex technical programs in a dynamic work setting designed to maximize mutual joy in pursuit of practical solutions to meet tomorrow’s needs.
The Buyer will be responsible for efficiently executing purchase requisitions in compliance with all contractual and legal requirements. Experience with purchasing documentation that meets CPSR standards and familiarity with FAR, DFARS, ITAR, and public laws is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and work well as a member of a team. They should also have a solid understanding of procurement principles, concepts, standards, and industry best practices.
