C++ Developer

Summary

Builds and maintains C++ systems for capital-markets trading workflows, integrating FIX protocol, SQL, AWS, and CI/CD pipelines.

Salary: £100,000 - 100,000 per year

Requirements:
  • Strong commercial C++ development experience
  • Front office capital markets experience with a good understanding of trade flows, the trade lifecycle and FIX protocol
  • Strong SQL skills
  • AWS experience and a good understanding of DevOps and CI/CD
  • Strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals such as OOP, design patterns and algorithms
  • Strong interest in emerging technologies and comfort with AI-enabled development
  • Collaborative communication skills and experience working directly with users, stakeholders and globally distributed teams
  • Degree educated to 2:1 or above in Computer Science or a related STEM discipline from a leading university, backed by outstanding A-levels (minimum AAB)
Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with traders, stakeholders and domain experts to design and build high-performance solutions
  • Take ownership of the full software development lifecycle from requirements through to production
  • Solve challenging technical problems and influence architecture
  • Continuously improve trading systems
  • Broaden technical expertise across AWS, SQL and DevOps
  • Develop Java skills over time
  • Contribute to an AI-assisted, modern engineering environment
