C# Developer

Summary

Build and maintain high-performance C#/.NET backend services for cash pricing and risk analytics at a large North American bank, optimizing data-intensive batch and real-time systems.

Join our ongoing collaboration with one of the largest North American banks – serving over 17 million clients worldwide. We are seeking a strong Software Developer to join the Cash Analytics team, responsible for building and supporting core pricing and risk analytics platforms for cash products.

This role focuses on developing high-performance, data-intensive systems used for pricing, risk calculation, and large-scale batch processing. The candidate will work closely with front office, risk, and engineering teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and efficient solutions in a complex production environment.

Your daily work will include:

  • Taking care of existing C#/.NET applications and developing new backend services, APIs, and integrations

  • Design, develop, and enhance pricing and risk analytics systems (batch and real-time)

  • Work with large datasets and optimize data processing performance (SQL, in-memory, parallel processing)

  • Collaborate with front office and risk teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues in critical systems

  • Improve system scalability, performance, and reliability

  • Contribute to system design and modernization of legacy platforms

  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices

  • Collaborating with developers across Poland and Canada

  • Participating in code reviews, discussing technical improvements, and sharing best practices

  • Using GitHub, Jira, and Jenkins for CI/CD and task management

Team & Collaboration

  • 5 (Montrose) + around 30 on the client’s side, including developers, QAs, Business Analysts, and Project Managers

  • Regular meetings:

    • 3 short standups per week (Montrose team)

    • 1 weekly standup (all team)

    • 1 weekly project status meeting (all team)

  • Communication via email and Webex chat

  • Working hours: usually 9:00–17:00 CET

Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of C# and .NET

  • Good understanding of data structures, system design, and performance optimization

  • Good knowledge of Python

  • Solid experience with SQL, including performance tuning and working with large datasets

  • Knowledge of Git and collaborative development workflows

  • Proven ability to debug and resolve issues in complex production environments

  • Experience working in Linux environments
