C++ Developer

Discussion

Summary

Develop and optimize C++ geometry-based applications and algorithms, focusing on CAD/CAM or geometry kernel technologies. Tasks include 2D/3D modeling, code reviews, debugging on Windows using Visual Studio, and ensuring locale-independent data handling.

Summary:
We are looking for a C++ Geometry Engineer with 3-4 years of experience in developing and optimizing geometric modeling solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in C++, computational geometry, and 2D/3D geometric algorithms, with exposure to CAD/CAM or geometry kernel technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain geometry-based applications using C++.
  • Implement and optimize geometric algorithms and modeling features.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and test solutions.
  • Perform code reviews, debugging, and unit testing to ensure high-quality software.
  • Build, debug, and profile native C++ applications using Visual Studio.
  • Ensure geometry APIs and file formats remain locale-independent (coordinates, units, decimal separators) while supporting localized UI and messages.
  • Use AI tools to accelerate coding, testing, and documentation, while validating correctness of geometric and numeric results.

Nice to Have: Experience with mesh processing, B-Rep modeling, NURBS, OpenGL, or 3D visualization frameworks.

Requirements

Key Requirements:

  • 3-4 years of experience in C++ development.
  • Strong understanding of Computational Geometry, 2D/3D modeling, and geometric algorithms.
  • Experience with CAD/CAM applications or geometry kernels such as Open Cascade, ACIS, or Parasolid.
  • Knowledge of Data Structures, Algorithms, Linear Algebra, and OOP concepts.
  • Familiarity with Git, debugging, and performance optimization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Visual Studio (MSVC) for C++ development, debugging, and profiling on Windows.
  • Familiarity with CMake and Visual Studio build workflows (Debug/Release, x64).
  • Understanding of localization/internationalization: Unicode, locale-independent numeric/geometry data, and keeping user-facing strings localizable.
  • Practical experience using AI coding assistants (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Cursor) for development, with careful review of generated geometry-critical code.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
