Introduction & Summary:

We are seeking a skilled C++ Software Engineer specializing in automotive technologies. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing embedded systems, particularly in vehicle diagnostics and Over-the-Air (OTA) updating mechanisms. This role requires a strong proficiency in C++ and a comprehensive understanding of automotive embedded software design.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain embedded software for automotive systems using C++.

  2. Design, implement, unit test, and debug software modules and components for various automotive applications.

  3. Develop and configure software related to vehicle diagnostics and onboard diagnostic systems.

  4. Engage with Diagnostic Stacks and communication protocols, including UDS over CAN, DoIP, and CAN-FD.

  5. Collaborate in architectural discussions and contribute to system-wide design efforts.

  6. Develop application software for Service-Oriented Architectures (SOA).

  7. Interface with SOME/IP on Linux and QNX platforms.

  8. Execute software integration and system testing to validate reliability and performance metrics.

  9. Adhere to Agile-based software development methodologies.

  10. Offer mentorship and technical support to junior team members.

Key Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the automotive diagnostic sector, directly related to onboard diagnostic architectures.

  • In-depth knowledge of the C++ development toolchain, such as KPIT Development Toolchain.

  • Experience developing onboard application software and configuring software for Diagnostic Stacks.

  • Proficient with implementation of UDS on CAN, DoIP, and CAN-FD on Linux and/or QNX.

  • Experience in application software development and fundamental software configuration for Service-Oriented Architectures.

  • Familiarity with SOME/IP on Linux and/or QNX.

Nice to Have:

  • Hands-on experience with Vector CANoe for network simulation.

  • Knowledge of CAPL scripting.

  • Experience with SOME/IP and bus analysis.

  • Fluency in both English and Italian.

Other Details:

This role is a hybrid position and is centered in the automotive sector, with a project duration of 12 months. Candidates should be prepared to start ASAP and engage in a B2B assignment.
