What You’ll Do:

• Examine damaged vehicle to determine extent of structural, body, mechanical or interior damage
• Estimate cost of labor and parts to repair or replace each damaged item
• Immediately report any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor
• Follow through repair process-file handler
• Manage and collect receivables
• Perform the duties of the General Manager in their absence
• Train and manage staff in company policies and ensure adherence to all company policies
• Motivate, counsel and monitor the performance of all department staff conducting disciplinary action or PIP’s as needed and administer annual performance evaluations for staff with thoughtful feedback
• Appraise staff productivity and efficiency for recommending promotions or other changes in status

What You Bring:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• One-year automotive industry experience background and one year of face-to-face customer service experience preferred
• Associates degree in Certified Collision Repair Curriculum preferred
• Previous estimating experience in a fast-paced auto body shop with knowledge of tools and repair/refinish procedures including body, paint, mechanical & electrical parts replacement helpful
• Ability to maintain ongoing positive relationships with insurance companies
• Excellent sales abilities, customer service, and communication skills
• Must be self-motivated and detail oriented
• Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
