Salary: $125,000 to $150,000 a year.


The Project Engineer II is responsible for providing technical leadership and engineering support for U.S. Navy ship repair, maintenance, and modernization projects. This position serves as the primary engineering resource supporting Program Management, Production, Planning, Quality Assurance, and Government stakeholders throughout all phases of project execution.

The Project Engineer II interprets and applies NAVSEA contract requirements, technical specifications, Standard Items, drawings, military standards, and engineering references to ensure work is executed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with contractual requirements. The position develops engineering work packages, Production Control Procedures (PCPs), Critical Lift Plans, Weight and Moment Reports, technical calculations, and other engineering deliverables required to support production.


The Project Engineer II provides sound technical guidance to project leadership, resolves engineering issues encountered during execution, and supports negotiations involving technical scope, Requests for Contract Change (RCCs), Contract Field Requests (CFRs), Requests for Equitable Adjustment (REAs), and Government-directed changes. This position is expected to identify and challenge unauthorized scope growth through objective technical analysis while maintaining strong working relationships with Government representatives and customers.
