C++/Qt Software Engineer
Critical FlyTech C++/Qt Software Engineer
Build the software that keeps aircraft safe, efficient, and easy to operate - from cockpit and cabin interfaces to backend avionics tools.
You’ve already built solid applications using modern C++ and Qt, and now you want to apply those skills to aviation - a domain where precision, reliability, and clarity save lives.
In this role, you’ll develop both frontend and backend components for aircraft related software: cockpit and cabin displays, maintenance tools, ground-support applications, simulation environments, and operational control systems that crew, engineers, and operators rely on every day.
You’ll collaborate with experienced engineers, learn aerospace standards, and help shape systems designed for safety critical environments - combining robust backend logic with intuitive, high performance Qt interfaces.
Responsibilities
- Assisting specifying, designing, implementing and testing C++/Qt software for avionics systems, cabin management systems, and flight control units.
- Learn and apply aerospace standards like DO-178C.
- Collaborate with experienced engineers across software, systems, and Airbus teams.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Professional experience using modern C++.
- Handson experience with Qt, using either Qt Widgets or Qt Quick/QML to build responsive interfaces.
- Familiarity with CMake, Git, CI pipelines, and unit testing frameworks.
- Basic knowledge of the software engineering V-cycle and its application in development processes.
- Willingness to collaborate, review code, communicate ideas clearly, and contribute to technical discussions.
- Growth mindset, curiosity, and attention to detail.
