C&S Coordinator (PPVC)
Summary
Coordinates prefabricated volumetric construction (PPVC) projects, ensuring civil & structural works meet timelines, quality, and safety standards while interfacing with suppliers, subcontractors, and regulators.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate and supervise Civil & Structural (C&S) works for PPVC (Prefabricated Prefinished Volumetric Construction) projects to ensure timely and quality project delivery.
- Review construction drawings, shop drawings, method statements, and technical submissions for compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with consultants, architects, subcontractors, PPVC suppliers/manufacturers, and relevant authorities on all C&S and PPVC-related matters.
- Plan and monitor site activities, ensuring works are carried out according to approved drawings, project schedules, quality standards, and Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements.
- Coordinate the delivery, lifting, installation, and integration of PPVC modules with architectural, M&E, and structural works.
- Resolve technical and site coordination issues, ensuring minimal disruption to project progress.
- Conduct site inspections and monitor workmanship to ensure compliance with BCA requirements, contract specifications, and company quality standards.
- Attend site progress meetings, technical coordination meetings, and inspections with clients, consultants, and relevant stakeholders.
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and within project timelines.
- Prepare progress reports, inspection records, and project documentation as required.
- Perform any other duties assigned by Management.
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Civil & Structural coordination with a Singapore main contractor.
- Proven hands-on experience in PPVC projects is mandatory.
- Good knowledge of Singapore construction practices, BCA regulations, and relevant codes of practice.
- Experience coordinating PPVC module production, delivery, installation, and interfacing with other construction trades.
- Able to interpret construction drawings, structural details, and technical specifications.
- Strong project coordination, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD. Knowledge of BIM software (e.g. Revit or Navisworks) will be an advantage.
- Able to work independently under pressure and manage multiple site activities simultaneously.
