C++ Software Engineer Android Linux
Summary
Software house building automotive products (embedded in 35M cars) seeks a C/C++ engineer to support client integrations, coordinate bespoke development, and prototype new ideas on embedded Linux and Android. Hybrid role with client demos and trade-show travel; salary up to £60k plus uncapped commission.
Salary: £60,000 - 60,000 per year
Requirements:- We are looking for experience developing software using C / C++ for cross-platform use; Java may also be considered.

- We are looking for familiarity with networking programming, protocol design, compression, security, and multithreaded programming.
- We are looking for experience with both application and embedded development, including areas such as IoT and set-top boxes.

- We are looking for excellent communication and presentation skills, with confidence demonstrating products to senior stakeholders and working with clients on bespoke development projects.
- We support customers with the technical integration and bespoke application development of our core software products.
- We partner with clients to understand their needs and present solutions.
- We articulate requirements to our engineering team, agree detailed specifications, and coordinate delivery to customers.
- We collaborate and problem-solve within an R&D environment using cutting-edge technology.
- We develop new ideas and prototypes that may become new product lines.
- We collaborate closely with our sales team.
- We travel to trade shows and exhibitions to demonstrate the product and drive customer engagement.
