About the role
Join HPP’s factory team crafting high-quality custom cabinetry and woodworking products. You’ll turn drawings and specifications into finished cabinets and furniture, working across timber, veneers, particle board and synthetics. Precision, pride in workmanship and a strong safety mindset are essential.
Key duties
Read and interpret drawings, plan notes and samples to determine job specs; select correct materials for each job.
Mark out, assemble sections and complete articles; fit hinges, locks, drawer runners and other hardware.
Operate hand tools (chisels, planes, measuring/finishing tools) and power tools (routers, drills, jigsaws, sanders, thicknessers, polishers) safely and efficiently.
Maintain tools, equipment and work areas; use correct handling methods for all materials.
Meet quality checks and timelines; receive goods and verify accuracy of completed work.
Safety & compliance
Follow HPP WHS policies; use PPE; work with ventilation/extraction systems; comply with relevant Australian Standards and legislation.
Skills & experience
Proven at least 1 year of cabinet making experience in a factory/workshop environment.
Confident with the full range of hand and power tools listed above.
Able to work independently and as part of a team; strong communication with supervisors, team members, customers and suppliers; reliable under time pressure.
Qualifications
Certificate III in Cabinet Making (or equivalent).
