MISSIONS Preparation and organization Read instruction sheets, detail drawings, and assembly procedures Prepare the installation of the building site (spacers, tools, etc.) Make a visual inspection of the tools (levels, fill level, air filters) and check the quality control inspection dates of the certified tools Install accessories and equipment on construction machines in accordance with the safety procedures Set up equipment in line with the building site installation plan and the Site Supervisor’s instructions Set up the safety and protective equipment for the personnel and local residents Manufacture, if necessary, forms (serial work) Carry out the assembly phase and the set-up operations Operation Carry out maneuvers and operations related to the railway building site Carry out your work while complying with the safety rules in force Update the documentation Before starting a shift, make sure you have the necessary and adequate equipment to properly conduct the day’s work Accurately fill out the service bulletin at the end of the service day and forward it to your manager Take note of the site documentation and stay up to date with the documentation concerning railway regulations Fill out the regulatory data in the railway quality system Maintain up-to-date documentation and safety information for the upcoming assignment Communication Participate in client briefings and communicate useful information and any information required by regulations Provide the SNCF Réseau representatives of the branch line with any useful information or information required by regulations concerning the shunting or the cars left on the tracks Quality, safety, and the environment: Manage the work space (storage, scheduling, hygiene, safety) Follow the assembly methodologies with respect to security, safety, and quality Use and check the scaffolding. SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES CATENARY FITTER Carry out the concrete excavation work for the catenary supports Dig an excavation (armored or not) taking into account the constraints of any networks and obstacles in the work zone Participate in the installation of the catenary supports, pouring and vibrating the concrete, installing the blocks protecting the catenary supports Installation of catenary assemblies and sub-assemblies Participate in the installation of the catenary supports: reinforcements, supports, suspension chains, etc. Participate in the installation of anchoring devices on catenary supports Uncoil the overhead electric cable for railway lines Install the anchor and sleeve of the overhead electric cable and electrify it Lay down bare feeder cable Uncoil the FEEDER cable for roads and railway lines Electrify the FEEDER cable Anchor the FEEDER cable, install a sleeve, and set up the clamp-mounted FEEDER Lay insulated feeder Uncoil the insulated 25kV FEEDER Install a collar on the insulated 25kV FEEDER Install the reinforcement Install and adjust the 1500V and 25000V reinforcement Uncoil the catenary Uncoil and anchor the rail anchor and electrify it Know how to anchor the contact wire on the second energizing device Know how to adjust the length of the contact wire to balance the two Y values Unblocking the first electrifying device Know how to release the first counterweight RAILWAY TRACK BUILDER Dismantle the components of the track or track machine and manually remove the old ballast Assemble the track components using the appropriate techniques and tools Lay the new track using a mechanical or manual system (gantry or dual cranes) Unload the right amount of ballast and level the track Participate in rail removal and track switch installation Carry out maintenance work on track components or switches Carry out resurfacing work on common tracks and switches GROUND STATION OPERATOR Shunting and train preparation according to the regulations in force Critical Safety Duties (TES) Check the railroad cars’ fitness for transport and movement and apply the appropriate labeling to ones where an anomaly is detected Ensure the safety of a train or an infrastructure manager’s convoy for non-passenger trains. Organize, control, execute, and guide maneuvers Apply the infrastructure manager’s braking and marshalling rules for trains and convoys Order and participate in the appropriate brake test Carry out the vehicle survey, draw up the composition survey and the braking bulletin according to the characteristics of the train and the lines used Non-Essential Safety Duties (TSAE) Put the “front and rear” signaling of trains and convoys in position Issue the AuM (Authorization to Move) to trains Provide guidance and assistance to trains and work trains Conduct the dispatch handover Take measures to immobilize the maneuver or abandoned vehicles in order to avoid any run-away movement Comply with the instructions concerning the safety of the personnel (rules relating to movement, electrical risks, etc.) JOB REQUIREMENTS And/or 2-3 years’ significant experience JOB ENVIRONMENT Reporting line: Team leader Internal relations: Site supervisor External relations: Temporary workers - Workers - Client inspector
