Cabling Engineer

Job Summary

Install, repair, test, and commission cable systems including data, CCTV, and fiber optics. Prepare cable pathways and supports. Troubleshoot and maintain cabling systems while ensuring quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, test, and commission data, CCTV, and fiber optic cable systems to ensure operational functionality
• Prepare and install cable pathways and supports to facilitate efficient cable routing
• Prepare tools and materials required for daily installation and maintenance tasks
• Troubleshoot cabling system issues and perform necessary repairs and maintenance to minimize downtime
• Collaborate with co-workers to support installation and routine maintenance activities
• Monitor and ensure compliance with quality, health, and safety standards, reporting any issues promptly
• Perform any other assigned tasks to support team objectives

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Minimum NITEC in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or Built Environment, or relevant work-related experience
• Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members
• Flexibility to work beyond regular hours when required
