CAD/CAM Programmer - Hypermill

About the role

From the P&PD engineering department (ATS Global), we are selecting a CAD/CAM Programmer - HYPERMILL for a space sector company based in Elche, Alicante.

What you'll do

The selected person will be responsible for the CAD-CAM programming of different machining machines using Hypermill software, as well as supervising the correct transfer of the program to manufacturing at the machine level.

To this end, they will have to perform the following functions:

• Determine the optimal machining strategy to manufacture each component.

• Program CNC machines using Hypermill software and solid models

• Work in close collaboration with the engineering team to provide crucial design information to manufacturing.

• Knowledge of the tools necessary for operations involving complex machining, as well as having the capacity and autonomy to design them.

• Provide support in the creation of work instructions for use in the workshop, specifying the most suitable sequence.

• Choose the most suitable tools as well as calculate the working conditions.

What we're looking for

• Qualification: Vocational Training or Engineering (aerospace, manufacturing, mechanical or similar)

• At least 7 years of experience in CNC machine programming at the machine level.

• At least 7 years of experience with different types of machines: lathe, 3-5 axis machining center, multi-function, etc.

• At least 5 years of experience programming CNC equipment with CAD/CAM - Hypermill software.

• Extensive knowledge of machining tools/techniques.

• Experience with different types of metals: aluminum, stainless steel, copper, titanium, high-nickel alloys, etc.

• Knowledge of G and M code programming.

• Extensive knowledge of dimensional and geometric tolerances.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products: Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.

• Languages: spoken and written English.

Nice to have

• Willingness to work at the machine level.

• Experience in the aeronautical sector is valued.

• Experience with Siemens NX, HyperMill and TeamCenter is valued.

• Knowledge of metrology is valued.

• Experience with controls: Fanuc, Heidenhain and Okuma.

• Competencies: teamwork, stress tolerance, multitasking.
