JOB TITLE: CAD DESIGN ENGINEER

About This Job:

Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan.

On behalf of our client, we are looking for a competent, skilled, and experienced CAD Design Engineer to work in Nairobi, Kenya

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Prepare detailed CAD drawings for road works, drainage, utilities, and associated infrastructure.

· Convert design concepts, sketches, and survey data into accurate technical drawings.

· Update drawings to reflect design changes, site instructions, and as-built conditions.

· Ensure all drawings comply with KURA specifications, standards, and approved design guidelines.

· Coordinate with engineers, surveyors, and site teams to obtain accurate technical information.

· Maintain proper version control and drawing registers for all project drawings.

· Prepare as-built drawings upon completion of works.

· Support quantity take-offs and measurement activities using CAD drawings where required.

· Participate in design review meetings and incorporate comments from KURA and consultants.

· Ensure timely submission of drawings to meet project timelines.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

Qualifications & Experience

· Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Technology, CAD, or related field.

· Proficiency in AutoCAD (Civil 3D experience is an added advantage).

· Minimum 2–4 years relevant experience in infrastructure or road projects (KURA, KeNHA, or similar).

· Experience working with road alignment, cross-sections, drainage, and utility layouts.

Skills & Competencies

· Strong technical drafting and detailing skills.

· Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and survey data.

· High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

· Good time management and ability to meet tight deadlines.

· Strong communication and coordination skills.

· Proficiency in MS Office and document control practices.
