As a BIM/CAD Designer I with Leviat, you will have the opportunity to demonstrate your talents and passion. We are seeking a motivated, detail oriented, and driven individual to join the Leviat Engineering team as an entry-level BIM/CAD Designer. Innovative products and services are at the foundation of our company, and this position will support the design and detailing of our market-leading insulated wall panel connection system, Thermomass, within the constantly evolving and growing construction industry. You will work on a wide variety of precast and tilt up wall projects, including Data Centers, Cold Storage Facilities, Industrial Warehousing, and more. This position will focus on the development of project-specific submittals, shop drawings, and BIM models for projects incorporating Thermomass insulated wall panel systems. The primary responsibility of this position will be to review architectural and structural drawings and prepare project submittal packages, shop drawings, and BIM models incorporating Leviat products using AutoCAD, Revit, and other proprietary design tools. This position reports to the Design Manager and will be based out of a Leviat North American office location in Boone, IA. No travel will be required. This position is non-exempt and eligible for overtime pay

Responsibilities

Specific job functions include, but may not be limited to the following:

· Interpret architectural/structural drawings

· Prepare project submittals, shop drawings and production drawings incorporating Leviat’s Thermomass Insulation System.

· Develop, modify and review 3D models in using Revit

· Coordinate drawing revisions and updates throughout the project life cycle

· Interact and collaborate with customers, managers, engineers, project managers and other employees to perform drafting tasks

· Adhere to customer (internal and external) volumes, timeline and expectations

· Handle several projects at once

· Provide excellent customer service and support

Qualifications (Education/Experience) And Required Skills

· Associate degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, Construction Technology or other related field

· Entry-level position; drafting, BIM, internship or other relevant coursework experience preferred

· Basic proficiency in AutoCAD required

· Experience or coursework using Autodesk Revit preferred

· Strong attention to detail and communication skills

· Ability to read and interpret construction drawings

Physical Requirements

· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

· Frequent use of a keyboard, mouse and multiple computer monitors

· Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
