CAD DRAFTSMAN

The CAD Draftsman is responsible for creating, modifying, and maintaining engineering drawings and associated documentation used in the design and manufacture of aluminum boats and related components. This position works closely with Engineering, Production, and Manufacturing to develop accurate, manufacturable designs that support efficient fabrication, assembly, and continuous product improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for boat hulls, structures, and components.
- Convert conceptual designs into manufacturing-ready technical drawings.
- Maintain engineering documentation, revision records, and drawing databases.
- Collaborate with production teams to resolve design or fabrication issues.
- Interpret engineering specifications, sketches, and instructions.
- Assist with prototype development and design improvements.
- Ensure drawings meet industry standards and manufacturing tolerances.
- Support engineering changes and update drawings accordingly.
- Participate in design reviews to improve manufacturability (DFMA) and product quality
- Support prototype development, testing, and product improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with company safety and environmental standards, including RCRA waste management practices where applicable.
