Position Overview:

The CAD Project Engineer is an entry-level position responsible for supporting the design and execution of synthetic turf projects through the creation of shop drawings, renderings, quantity takeoffs, and tufting instructions. This role works under the guidance of senior team members to develop technical proficiency in CAD design, turf products, field layouts, and company processes. The CAD Project Engineer I collaborates with Sales, Operations, and Manufacturing to deliver accurate project documentation while developing the skills necessary to independently manage projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Create shop drawings, renderings, and tufting instructions for synthetic turf projects under the guidance of experienced team members.
• Support quantity takeoffs and material calculations to ensure accurate project requirements.
• Assist in reviewing project plans, specifications, and scopes of work to verify design accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
• Develop knowledge of sports field layouts, dimensions, governing standards, and company products.
• Maintain and update project information, distributor notes, and related documentation as directed.
• Support assigned distributor accounts and assist with project execution activities.
• Participate in the design and execution of Game On field projects at a beginner to intermediate level.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Manufacturing to support project deliverables and customer expectations.
• Ensure assigned work is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Continuously develop proficiency in AutoCAD, internal systems, and project workflows.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, Design, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Entry-level CAD experience or up to three years of relevant CAD drafting experience.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Ability to interpret plans, specifications, and technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
