Develop your career with one of the UK’s most important security organisations
When you join our friendly and collaborative team you’ll focus on using AutoCAD and other Autodesk-based software to create and update technical drawings, and incorporate data to set standards within the Meridian Engineering Document Management System. Producing material for information data requests to appropriate security classifications, we’ll also expect you to support the Design function and our project teams with technical administration, and when necessary, conduct basic on-site surveys.
Your day-to-day tasks will include using our document management system to support the production, management and maintenance of drawings, the scanning and digitising of paper drawings and archive material, and the renaming, organising and managing of digital drawing files. Producing and preparing sets of drawings and tender packs, and supporting space-planning activities, we’ll also expect you to help with the assessment of potential office layout configurations.
Join us on our important global mission
To be a success in this role you should possess a Level 2 qualification, equivalent to 5 GCSEs Grade A-C, including Maths and English. A confident user of IT systems with a particular focus on the Microsoft Office suite of programs, you’ll have some experience of AutoCAD or a similar CAD software and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. With strong attention to detail and a patient, methodical approach to your work, you should also be capable of managing large volumes of drawings and files, and comfortable undertaking process-driven work.
Highly organised and able to balance technical CAD work with a range of administrative tasks, we’ll also expect you to be a reliable and collaborative team player. Although this is primarily a CAD support role, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to build on your existing skills, gain exposure to more sophisticated software and technical work, and move onto advanced projects as you develop your career with us.
