Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the maintenance of safe custody and controls of cash, cash equivalents, markers, gaming chips, documents and records normally associated with the operation of the Casino Cage.
• Provide day-to-day supervision for the Cashier’s Cage department and the Pit Clerk department by planning, organizing and controlling the work of those staff members.
• Assume the responsibility to educate staff to comply with the Gaming Regulations, the Financial Transactions Reporting Act, Company Internal Controls and departmental policies and procedures.
• Prepare Supervisor’s schedules and review cashier’s schedules.
• Consistently monitor staff punctuality and attendance statistics while providing follow up to ensure consistent application in employee recognition and counseling notices.
• Review appropriate logs to ensure compliance by staff. Employee tip register, chip rotation log, key register, void logs, verbal authorization log, primary and secondary chip log, P.E.L check log and Cashier’s check log.
• Ensure that the Main Bank has an adequate level of cash on hand to meet business demand.
• Responsible for balancing the month end reports for age trial balance and marker bank reconciliation.
• Assist with conducting Supervisor’s and Cashier’s meetings
• Review and edit time sheets.
• Demonstrate the ability to anticipate staffing coverage based on hotel occupancy, potential cruise ship passengers, tournaments and special groups.
• Display a thorough knowledge of procedures for investigating and taking actions for Cash variances.
• Demonstrate responsibility to ensure the safe transfer and movement of company’s assets between the cage and games and soft count.
• Display thorough knowledge of manually processed transactions and demonstrates the ability to assist staff with batching manual transactions.
• Maintain confidentiality of information received where required and applicable
• Ensure that the organizational goals of the company are clearly communicated to staff.
• Performs all other reasonable duties required by management.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma or equivalent vocational training
• Basic/Introduction to Computer Skills
• Strong communication skills
• Willing to work shifts, weekends and late night
• Working in areas with varying noise levels
• Working around cigarette smoke and other odors
• Standing for long periods of time
