Calf Rearer – Discovery Dairy

THE OPPORTUNITY

Join our team on Discovery Dairy and play a key role in rearing our next generation dairy cattle.

You’ll be responsible for caring for young calves, feeding, weighing, drafting, drenching, and monitoring their health and welfare. You may also assist with milking and general farm duties when required.

This is a drive in/drive out role, so reliable transport is required.

This is a fixed-term, part-time position from July to mid-November 2026, with a guaranteed minimum of 20 hours per week. Additional hours may be available as needed.

THE FARM

Discovery Dairy is a 300 effective hectare farm located within easy distance of Taupō, milking approximately 750 cows through a 54-bail rotary shed equipped with modern technology.

The property features quality infrastructure, well-maintained pastures, and excellent machinery including two-wheelers and SxS utility vehicles.

ABOUT YOU

No prior experience required, training is provided.

About You:

• You have an exceptional attitude to health and safety and animal welfare

• You are physically fit and comfortable working outdoors

• You hold a restricted or full driver’s license
