Calibration Engineer
Summary
Oversee and perform calibration of mechanical, electrical, and electronic instruments, ensuring compliance with standards like ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO 9001, while maintaining records and coordinating with vendors.
Responsibilities:
· Plan, schedule, and oversee calibration activities (in-house, on-site, or external)
· Arrange appointments for testing equipment that is due for calibration
· Ensure all laboratory equipment is calibrated according to required specifications and standards
· Issue shipment forms, pack, and label equipment for return after calibration.
· Maintain and update records for all documentation related to the calibration process
· Conduct detailed inspections, calibrations, adjustments, and testing/repairs of equipment.
· Oversee and assess the effectiveness of calibration procedures
· Perform calibration and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and electronic instruments.
· Document calibration results and generate calibration certificates.
· Ensure all equipment is calibrated within due dates and maintain proper records.
· Investigate and resolve equipment performance issues and anomalies.
· Support audit and quality system requirements (e.g., ISO/IEC 17025, ISO 9001).
· Liaise with internal departments and external vendors for calibration services and coordination.
· Maintain and update the calibration database/system.
· Ensure adherence to safety procedures and best engineering practices.
· Ad hoc jobs as assigned by Management
Requirements:
· Candidate must possess at least Higher Nitec or Diploma in Engineering in any field preferably in Electronic, Electrical or Mechanic
· Working experience in production & manufacturing is an advantage
· Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge
· Good attention to detail and analytical skills.
· Strong documentation and reporting skills.
· Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
· Class 3 license is an advantage
