Accu-Chek, LLC, an ATS company, has been serving the calibration and inspection needs of the quality industry and provides a wide range of calibration, inspection and repair services in many industries including automotive, aerospace, medical, computer, fluid power, appliance, and many others.

The Role

We are seeking a Field Calibration Technician that will be responsible for providing calibration services in the lab or in the field at the customer locations. This is a full-time role and includes a competitive pay and benefits package.

Job Description

The candidate will work both independently and with other technicians on the team. The successful candidate should have at least two (2) years of hands-on mechanical, electrical and/or physical/dimensional calibration or related experience in maintenance, quality, repair, or similar industrial experience. Additionally, the Field Calibration Technician will be a self-starter, possess good interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) as well as have computer competency.

Candidates must be willing to travel up to 40% to local and regional customer sites to calibrate a variety of inspection, measuring and testing equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Work with other technicians within the lab or at customer sites to provide a wide spectrum of calibration services, which can include but not limited to measurement, temperature, torque, force, pressure, electrical, mechanical, dimensional, etc.
  • Identify and utilize appropriate measurement techniques
  • Maintain calibration standards
  • Working knowledge and competency in hands on calibration preferred, but training also provided for the necessary calibration experience in multiple disciplines in mechanical, electrical, and/or physical dimensional calibrations
  • Experience desired in calibration with instruments / tools such as:
    • Hardness testers, optical comparators, surface plates, tensile testers, other force equipment
    • Torque drivers, torque wrenches, torque analyzers, etc.
    • Pressure gauges, temperature equipment, humidity, pH
    • Micrometers, calipers, multimeters, weights, etc.
  • Fulfill duties safely under working conditions, in keeping with Company requirements and standards
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Travel requirement: local and regional travel with approximately 40% overnight travel
