Apple designs consumer electronics that have touched millions and changed the way people interact with electronic devices around the world. The Camera System Engineering team in Israel is looking for a system engineer directly responsible for the design of calibration, simulation and test for new camera systems. This engineer works closely with Hardware design, Algorithms, Data analysis and Operation groups to ensure the success of future Apple products.

Design, specification, development and deployment of camera calibration, simulation and tests. Responsibilities include: Develop, optimize and debug the algorithms responsible for test, calibration and image processing Cooperate with cross functional teams to specify and implement the end-to-end test coverage Analyze large scale factory data, and formulate critical reports of the product performance Analyze and debug failures, and come up with Hardware and Software solutions

Minimum Qualifications

  • MSc/PhD student in Electro-Optics, Physics, or Electrical Engineering

Preferred Qualifications

  • Creative & analytical, good at critical thinking and problem-solving
  • Proficient in one or more computer languages (e.g. Matlab, Python, etc.)
  • Background in electro-optics is required
  • Experienced in analysis of data, and communicating results in a clear and concise manner
  • A reliable standout colleague that can be counted on to produce high quality results on time
  • Ability to work well in a collaborative, highly cross-functional and fast paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in some of the following is an advantage:
  • Camera, computer vision, image processing
  • Imaging, measurement & test systems, optical instrumentation
