Lumwana Mining Company seeks to recruit a highly committed employee for the position of Camp Services Officer - LEP (Fixed Term) to join the Lumwana Expansion Project Team. We are in search of an individual who can champion Barrick's DNA by:

Reporting to the Camp Services Coordinator - LEP, you will be responsible for ensuring the provision of accurate, timely administrative services and travel functions across the project.

Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Assist with the Accommodation Services Systems, identify and prioritize improvement opportunities, and formulate alternatives and improvements to systems and methods.

  • Conduct regular inspections and assist with housekeeping teams to ensure accommodation meets health, safety, and cleanliness standards

  • Assist Camp Services business partner for LMC site offices, which include Inflight Management, Camp Management contract, Travel Management Contract, Busing Services Contract, Contractor camp costs back-charge management, and SOX compliance.

  • Assist in providing directions and guidance on Travel and Camp related issues to Department Heads.

  • Assist with the process of year-end reviews by being the sectional point of contact for all year-end activities, maintaining up-to-date records of all activities.

  • Assist in maintaining a fully functional administration office environment and related services.

  • Assist in the quality delivery of Travel and Camp Services including busing and business travel.

  • Assist in maintaining and developing relationships with stakeholders in LMC’s mining activities, consistent with Barrick’s Community Relations Policies.

  • Maintaining an updated register for all incoming contractors and visitors to ensure smooth access to site and/or induction and interview centers.

  • Work closely with Surveillance, Access Control, and Security Control personnel for access management.

To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Grade 12 school certificate

  • Minimum Diploma in Business Administration/Hospitality/Project Management or equivalent

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role

  • Basic knowledge of project management principles.

  • Previous employment in a multi-site industrial environment is an added advantage.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

  • Class B or C manual Driver’s license

  • Good Interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with people at all levels
