Campus Software Engineer Intern

Summary

10-week internship building and maintaining distributed trading systems and infrastructure in C++/Python on Linux, guided by an engineer mentor.

You will spend 10 weeks designing, coding, testing, and maintaining a distributed trading system and large-scale supercomputer. You will contribute to production code, apply programming and analysis skills to a real-time trading platform, follow Agile release processes, and receive coaching from an experienced software engineer mentor.

Responsibilities

  • Design, code, test, and maintain a distributed trading system
  • Work on production code
  • Follow full-cycle development, testing, and release processes using Agile methodologies
  • Apply programming and analysis skills to a real-time large-scale trading platform
  • Contribute to related infrastructure

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience and proficiency in C++ development on Linux or Python development on Linux
  • Strong understanding of data structures and threading models
  • Ability to work with a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for solving complex problems and building optimal solutions from scratch
  • Interest in hardware, networking, and operating system design
  • Reliable and predictable availability
