Campus Systems Engineer Intern
You will spend 10 weeks working with frontline technology teams to manage, monitor, and improve a real-time trading environment. You will gain systems and networking experience, build production automation, troubleshoot infrastructure, optimize low-latency networks, coordinate operational changes, manage incidents, assess change-control risk, and document procedures.
Responsibilities
- Build automation for the production trading environment
- Monitor the health and performance of the trading platform
- Analyze and troubleshoot system, software, and networking infrastructure issues
- Design, implement, and optimize low-latency network infrastructure
- Coordinate changes and manage incidents with risk management and trading teams
- Assess operational risk for production change control
- Define and document processes and procedures
Requirements
- Major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field
- Experience with Linux or UNIX operating systems, advanced commands, and shell scripts
- Practical working knowledge of Python
- Understanding of routing, multicast, and Ethernet
- Detail-oriented approach to operations
- Ability to communicate clearly under pressure
- Reliable and predictable availability
