Campus Systems Engineer Intern

You will spend 10 weeks working with frontline technology teams to manage, monitor, and improve a real-time trading environment. You will gain systems and networking experience, build production automation, troubleshoot infrastructure, optimize low-latency networks, coordinate operational changes, manage incidents, assess change-control risk, and document procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Build automation for the production trading environment
  • Monitor the health and performance of the trading platform
  • Analyze and troubleshoot system, software, and networking infrastructure issues
  • Design, implement, and optimize low-latency network infrastructure
  • Coordinate changes and manage incidents with risk management and trading teams
  • Assess operational risk for production change control
  • Define and document processes and procedures

Requirements

  • Major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field
  • Experience with Linux or UNIX operating systems, advanced commands, and shell scripts
  • Practical working knowledge of Python
  • Understanding of routing, multicast, and Ethernet
  • Detail-oriented approach to operations
  • Ability to communicate clearly under pressure
  • Reliable and predictable availability
