Candidate Manager, Fixed Term (6 months)

InstantScripts is seeking an experienced Candidate Manager to join our Workforce Planning and Operations team in a 6 month fixed term role. In this role you will coordinate the operational lifecycle of healthcare talent acquisition, from application screening and initial interviews through credentialing, onboarding, scheduling and deployment, while delivering practical engagement initiatives that strengthen connection, retention and culture across our remote doctor workforce.

Working under the direction of the Workforce Planning and Operations Manager and in support of the Doctor Recruitment team, you will manage assigned recruitment and engagement activities within approved processes.

What you'll do:

  • Review applications and conduct structured phone screenings to assess credentials, experience, communication, availability and technical readiness, preparing accurate notes and escalating clinical or credential concerns for specialist review.
  • Schedule and coordinate interviews using approved guides, participate in initial non-clinical interviews within delegated authority, coordinate reference checks, and keep candidates informed with clear, respectful and timely communication.
  • Coordinate credentialing, identity and background checks, contract documentation, digital onboarding and orientation, monitoring compliance learning and platform training and escalating any risks to commencement.
  • Maintain doctor availability and agreed commitments, coordinate shifts during the hypercare period, update rostering systems, confirm platform readiness before deployment, and escalate scheduling conflicts, coverage risks and safe-working-hour concerns.
  • Follow up on onboarding, technology and engagement concerns to strengthen early retention, escalating performance, clinical and sensitive matters appropriately.
  • Maintain accurate, audit-ready candidate, credentialing, onboarding, roster and engagement records, and prepare timely recruitment and workforce updates.
  • Support attraction activity including job advertising, talent pools, referrals, information sessions, careers events and newsletters, and contribute practical improvements to candidate experience, scheduling and systems.

We're looking for someone with:

  • Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to build trust and influence decision-makers
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across business units
  • The ability to work independently, prioritise and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • A proactive, results-driven and adaptable approach to changing business needs

You will bring proven end-to-end recruitment experience, ideally within a healthcare environment, across a variety of role types and levels. You will have strong knowledge of sourcing strategies, recruitment systems and employment legislation, and a relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business or a related field is desirable.
