Cans Back End Necker Mechanic

Job Description:

CROWN Bevcan Slovakia s.r.o. is seeking a skilled Cans Back End Necker Mechanic to maintain and optimize the performance of necking machinery in our can manufacturing facility.

Job Responsibilities:**

* Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on can necking machines and associated back-end equipment.
* Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues affecting necker performance.
* Execute machine changeovers and adjustments to meet production specifications and quality standards.
* Monitor machine operation for efficiency, product quality, and safety.
* Collaborate with production and quality control teams to identify and implement process improvements.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts used, and machine performance.
* Adhere to all company safety regulations and procedures.
* Train and mentor junior mechanics as required.
* Order and manage spare parts inventory for necking equipment.

Job Qualifications:**

* Proven experience as a mechanic in a high-volume manufacturing environment, preferably within the can making industry.
* Strong mechanical aptitude and excellent troubleshooting skills for complex machinery.
* Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
* Knowledge of pneumatic and basic electrical systems.
* Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Flexibility to work shifts, including nights and weekends, as production demands require.
* Vocational degree or certification in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or a related field is highly preferred.
* Basic computer literacy for record-keeping and diagnostic tools.
