Design, maintain, document, test, and support business-managed automation, reporting, and workflow solutions that improve operational effectiveness and support IBCM objectives. Work at a developing technical level with guidance to analyze data, solve defined problems, support production processes, and enable sustainable adoption of approved solutions.Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
1. Collaborate with business subject matter experts to assess business processes and identify opportunities for process automation that increase efficiencies and reduce operational risk.
2. Design implementable technical solutions that leverage process automation technologies.
3. Support code development during Agile Sprints by writing the complete SDD (Solution Design Document) to allow for third-party maintenance and support.
4. Develop requirement specifications and user acceptance testing strategies for identified solutions.
5. Maintain, troubleshoot, test, document, and make defined changes to existing Microsoft Access and Excel VBA tools, Python scripts, Power BI dashboards, Power Apps workflows, and other approved solutions, escalating complex issues as appropriate.
6. Provide normal business-hours production support; analyze incidents, exceptions, volumes, effort, and solution compatibility; coordinate timely resolution with business, vendor, and technology partners.
7. Support process mapping, change management, training, implementation, and adoption activities; track assigned deliverables and communicate status, risks, and roadblocks.
8. Develop and report operational metrics, key performance indicators, and management insights to identify process variation and improvement opportunities.
9. Build productive relationships with supported teams and control partners; communicate technical and business concepts clearly to audiences with varied experience.
10. Propose solutions for review and approval and apply established documentation, source control, testing, information security, change management, and operational risk standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
1. Bachelor's degree in business, finance, engineering, information systems, computer science, analytics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience.
2. Two to four years of relevant experience in banking, financial services, operations, business analysis, process automation, application support, analytics, or a related discipline.
3. Practiced coding proficiency, demonstrated by the ability to maintain, troubleshoot, test, document, and make defined changes to existing solutions with guidance, using at least one relevant technology such as VBA, Python, SQL, Power BI, Power Apps, or a comparable approved platform.
4. Working knowledge of at least one supported Capital Markets area, such as broker-dealer operations, swap-dealer operations, foreign exchange operations, or client onboarding.
5. Ability to analyze business processes, document requirements, support user acceptance testing, interpret data, identify issues, and recommend practical actions.
6. Effective written and verbal communication, organization, collaboration, and problem-solving skills; ability to manage competing priorities in a controlled environment.
7. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products and ability to follow Agile delivery, documentation, testing, change management, information security, and operational risk practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Advanced degree in Finance, Mathematics, Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
2. Experience supporting banking or Capital Markets operations and one or more business-managed automation, analytics, dashboarding, or workflow technologies.
3. Familiarity with process improvement, business process management, Lean methods, project delivery, or relevant financial-services certifications.
