Key responsibilities

  • Perform a broad range of cardiac surgical procedures, including coronary artery bypass grafting, valve repair and replacement, and congenital heart defect surgeries.
  • Conduct detailed preoperative evaluations and develop individualized surgical treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with cardiologists, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to ensure optimal patient care and surgical outcomes.
  • Oversee postoperative care, monitor recovery, and manage any complications efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families about surgical procedures, risks, and postoperative care.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records of all surgical interventions and patient progress.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in cardiac surgery techniques and technologies.

Requirements

  • Medical degree with specialization in cardiac surgery from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification or equivalent credential in cardiac surgery.
  • Valid medical license to practice in the Gulf region, specifically Sharjah/UAE.
  • Proven experience performing complex cardiac surgeries in a hospital or clinical setting.
  • Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, surgical procedures, and postoperative management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team and manage high-pressure situations effectively.
