Cardiac Technologist
Summary
Performs cardiac ultrasound exams and echocardiograms to support cardiologists in diagnosing heart conditions, ensuring equipment safety and patient care in a hospital setting.
Job responsibilities:
- Perform non-invasive cardiac ultrasound examinations to assist cardiologists in the diagnosis and management of cardiovascular diseases according to acceptable standards and protocol
- Perform echocardiogram procedures to capture high-quality images of the heart and blood vessels.
- To ensure familiarization of use and correct handling of equipment to avoid incorrect equipment usage
- Work closely with nurses and support staff to ensure patient care is met
- Recognize and resolve abnormal situations that may arise
- Ensure regular QC, maintenance and care of equipment
- To ensure compliance of radiology safety policy
- Stay current with advancements in echocardiography technology.
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Medical Technology, Biological Science, Biomedical Science or related
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Echo Technologist in a hospital or clinical setting.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
