This is hands-on, relationship-driven work. You’ll help residents with the routines of daily life, support their independence, and make sure they feel safe, respected, and cared for.

What You’ll Do

As a Care Aide at Byron Manor, you’ll provide direct support to residents with activities of daily living.

You’ll:

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal care

• Support mobility, transfers, and wheelchair assistance

• Help residents get to and from meals and activities

• Follow individualized resident care plans

• Encourage independence, choice, and social engagement

• Communicate respectfully with residents, families, and coworkers

• Report changes in resident condition or concerns to the appropriate team member

• Complete required documentation accurately and on time

• Support light housekeeping, laundry, and meal-related tasks

• Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment

• Work closely with nurses and the care team to provide consistent resident support

What We’re Looking For

We care about experience, but attitude, reliability, and how you treat people matter just as much.

Required:

• At least 18 years old

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English

• Ability to safely assist residents with mobility and transfers

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed

• Ability to remain active throughout the shift

• Ability to complete required documentation

• Reliable transportation to and from work

• Compassion, patience, and dependability

Preferred:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Previous senior living, long-term care, healthcare, or caregiving experience

• Previous experience assisting with activities of daily living
