At Autumn House Williamsburg, a Cardinal Senior Living community, we’re looking for compassionate, dependable Care Aides who want work that matters.

This is hands-on, relationship-driven work. You’ll help residents with the routines of daily life, support their independence, and make sure they feel safe, respected, and cared for.

What You’ll Do

As a Care Aide at Autumn House Williamsburg, you’ll provide direct support to residents while following their individual support plans.

You’ll:

• Assist with activities of daily living, including mobility, transfers, and personal care
• Support resident independence, preferences, and choices
• Advocate for resident needs and concerns
• Help residents maintain social connections and relationships
• Communicate respectfully with residents, families, and coworkers
• Complete required documentation accurately and on time
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment
• Support household tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and laundry
• Report safety, maintenance, or resident concerns to the appropriate team member
• Follow company policies, infection-control practices, and applicable state requirements
• Work collaboratively with the rest of the care team

What We’re Looking For

We care about experience, but attitude, reliability, and how you treat people matter just as much.

Required:

• At least 18 years old
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Ability to assist residents with mobility and transfers
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
• Ability to remain active throughout the shift
• Ability to complete required resident documentation
• Current First Aid and CPR/AED certification, or willingness to complete training after hire
• Availability to work every other weekend

Preferred:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous senior living, long-term care, healthcare, or caregiving experience
• Valid driver’s license
