Care & Support Apprenticeship at Caring @ Home


Start your career in care with our Level 2 Adult Care Apprenticeship. Gain valuable hands-on experience supporting adults with their daily needs while earning, learning, and developing the skills needed for a rewarding career in health and social care.


Apprenticeship Overview:


  • Salary: £8.00 an hour, Automatic pay increase after one year on programme for 19+ year olds
  • Working Week: Shifts TBC (will include evenings and weekends)
  • Hours: 30 hours per week
  • Duration: 13 months
  • Level 2 Adult Care Apprenticeship standard qualification
  • Online training supported by our dedicated tutor
  • Location: Nexus Business Centre, 6 Darby Close, Swindon, Wiltshire, SN2 2PN


As an Adult Care Apprentice, you will:


  • Visiting multiple homes a day delivering safe, respectful and person-centred care to individuals in their own homes and/or supported living settings.
  • Support with personal care, daily living activities, mobility, meals and hydration.
  • Provide medication support where trained, competent and authorised.
  • Encourage independence, wellbeing and participation in social and community activities.
  • Observe and report changes in individuals' health and wellbeing.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential care records.
  • Follow care plans, risk assessments and Caring@Home Ltd policies and procedures.
  • Comply with safeguarding, health and safety and infection control requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with service users, families, colleagues and other professionals.
  • Complete apprenticeship training, attend learning sessions and work towards achieving the apprenticeship qualification.


Specific Requirement:


You will need to have a full drivers licence and access to a vehicle as you will be required to travel to different homes to provide care. If you do not own a vehicle or have a full licence, we won't be able to accept your application.

Qualifications:


  • GCSEs in English and Maths at grades 4–9 (A*–C) desirable

Pre-employment checks.
