We are looking for hard-working, enthusiastic, and compassionate Care assistants for our
client's fabulous care home


Entry requirements of this job:
1. There are no formal academic entry requirements. Off- and on-the-job training is provided.
2. You don’t need any healthcare experience to join us as a Healthcare Support Worker.
3. Care-based experience is preferable but not essential as full training with be provided.
4. Hold a current or willing to undertake a Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check


Tasks required by this job include:
1. Undertake the tasks detailed in the Client’s care and support plan using a person centred approach and in the least intrusive way.
2. Encourage the independence and motivation of the Client and not foster dependent behaviour.
3. Provide input into the care and support plans of Clients by regularly feeding back to the Field Care Supervisor.
4. Assisting nurses and other health professionals when needed.
5. Attending meetings with other healthcare professionals.
6. Assist Clients to dress and undress.
7. Assist Clients with toileting, and personal hygiene.
8. Performs basic clinical tasks such as taking patients, temperature and pulse, weighing and measuring, performing urine tests and extracting blood samples.
9. Prepare food and drink for the Client, being aware of the Client’s choice, likes/dislikes, nutritional needs and cultural requirements.
10. Utilising equipment to move patients when necessary.
11. Provide light general household domestic duties, including housework and laundry, as detailed in the care plan or instructed by Management.
12. Maintain good communication and develop effective working relationships with Clients.
13. Provide companionship to the Client, actively talking and listening to them about their interests.
14. Help the Client to maintain contact with their family and friends.
15. Accompany the Client on trips into the community.
16. Assist the Client to manage their personal affairs.
17. Ensure as safe as possible the living environment for the Client, whilst respecting the Client’s choice and rights.
18. Protect the confidentiality of all information relating to the Client and not divulge information to anyone who is not authorised to receive it.
