Career Opportunities: Student Worker for Project Training & Process Optimizing, Søborg
Terma Studiejob Søborg
Are you currently pursuing a relevant bachelor’s or Master´s degree and excited to put your skills into practice? Here is your chance to gain hands-on experience and kick-start your career by joining Terma. Come be part of our journey!
We are facing an exciting future with considerable growth and demanding changes, as we deliver advanced technologies and mission critical solutions for the defense and aerospace industry. Our systems provide security for people on land, at sea and in the air. Therefore, we are looking for a Student Worker to become part of this journey and contribute to our overall purpose - securing people through advanced technology.
Your role in our team
As our new student worker, you will review our existing project processes and templates, talk to project managers and stakeholders across functions such as Sales, Proposal, and R&D, and use what you learn to help us build clearer processes and better onboarding material. This means bringing together input from colleagues with very different roles and perspectives and staying genuinely curious about how their work connects.
You will work closely with Global People, Quality, and Training on how the material you build can be used for onboarding and basic project training going forward - turning your findings into flow diagrams and 2-3 realistic, end-to-end project simulations that future colleagues can learn from.
This role is expected to run for 4-6 months at around 10-20 hours per week alongside your studies. We see it as more than a short-term project assignment, as there may be an opportunity to continue with us afterwards and build further on the knowledge and process understanding you develop during the role.
How you will make a meaningful contribution
Your key responsibilities include:
Reviewing existing project processes, templates, and workflows, and identifying outdated links, unclear steps, duplication, or gaps between processes and tools
Planning and conducting interviews with project managers to collect best practice, typical challenges, and improvement ideas
Conducting interviews with stakeholders across functions such as Sales, Proposal, and R&D to check alignment between project processes and what these functions need
Consolidating your findings into concrete recommendations for process updates, template improvements, and simplification
Developing clear, intuitive flow diagrams that reflect how projects are actually run
Building 2-3 realistic, end-to-end project training simulations covering different scenarios or business areas
Collaborating with Global People, Quality, and Training on how the material can be structured and used for onboarding and basic project training
Bring your world class expertise into play
We welcome students from diverse academic backgrounds who are passionate about contributing to a high-tech company and making an impact. Candidates may be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in fields such as:
Business Administration
Business engineering
Project Management
Or a related field
Moreover, we are also looking for a new colleague with the following qualifications:
An interest in project management, process optimization, or organizational development
A structured and analytical approach to problem-solving
Strong communication and interview skills - you're comfortable asking questions and drawing out what people experience day to day
Experience with documentation and visualization, for example in PowerPoint, Visio, or similar flow tools
The ability to coordinate with several stakeholders across different functions at once
A collaborative mindset that treats input from every colleague you talk to as equally valuable, whatever their role
Experience with project management tools is an advantage, but not a requirement
To succeed in our team, you are curious, motivated, and ready to apply your knowledge in practice. You enjoy working both independently and in groups, and you take pride in delivering high-quality work while contributing positively to a supportive, high-performing environment.
We are an international company representing world-class expertise, delivering complex and high-tech products. We value our colleagues and our meaningful contributions to securing people through advanced technology. You will also experience that we have a strong focus on your development, teaching you useful new competences and further strengthening current ones, both professionally and personally.
