Caregiver / Nursing Support

What you'll do

This would be a base of functions according to the geriatric care assistant category agreement, along with an expansion of functions to provide support in nursing alongside the geriatric care team:

- Maintain the personal hygiene of the users and assist them in all ADLs

- Provide and administer food to the resident, facilitating intake in those cases where required

- Collaborate with healthcare staff in the administration and distribution of medication

- Reading of nursing follow-ups, daily review of acute treatments, review of medication expiration dates and nursing supplies

- Cross-check medication rolls with treatment (medical guidelines), as well as oxygen therapies and postural changes according to written guidelines

- Cleaning, reception, and placement of nursing carts

- Support to nursing in the performance of wound care

- Accompanying LPNs in invasive techniques

- Attention and communication with users and families

Education & certifications

• Professional Certificate in Social and Health Care for Dependent Persons in Social Institutions
• Technician in Care for Persons in a Situation of Dependency
• Nursing Assistant Technician (TCAE)

- Immediate incorporation

- Use of computer systems (Office suite, databases...)

AFTERNOON shift (14:30-22:00) and every two weekends worked, one off
