Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled carpenter to join our team in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will have experience in all aspects of carpentry, including framing, roofing, and finishing work. The carpenter will be responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints, measuring and cutting materials, and assembling structures. The carpenter will also be responsible for maintaining tools and equipment, ensuring a safe and clean work environment, and communicating effectively with team members and clients.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings
• Measure and cut materials to specifications
• Assemble and install structures, such as walls, roofs, and decks
• Install fixtures, such as windows, doors, and cabinets
• Finish surfaces, such as drywall and trim
• Maintain tools and equipment
• Ensure a safe and clean work environment
• Communicate effectively with team members and clients

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in carpentry
• Experience in all aspects of carpentry, including framing, roofing, and finishing work
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
• Ability to measure and cut materials to specifications
• Ability to assemble and install structures
• Ability to finish surfaces
• Knowledge of tools and equipment maintenance
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
